Solid advice for any age Rating
February 26, 2005 Rating: 4.0 stars

This is my third David Bach book and I've enjoyed this one just as much as the first. Contained inside of this book is the solid common sense advice that others have written about and unfortunately many of us have not followed. The whole point of the book is to encourage people to know that it is never to late to correctly manage your finances so that you have a retirement that does include financial worries. For those who need more direction they should always consult a certified financial planner for hands on advice and guidance. All in all, another helpful book by David Bach.

This is the best do it yourself financial book I've ever read! It's simple, easy to read chapters keep you excited and wanting to learn more about doing what it takes to get to the financial top; and best of all, most of it is smart common sense, something most of us are socially trained to ignore. Best place to start to get your finances in order!

Here is one more self-appointed guru who figured out that the best way to finish rich himself is to sell you his stream of books. In a way, David Bach reminds me of Dr. Phil, who is hitting the market with one book after another with advice on everything, from relationships to weight loss. Hey, self-help books are all the rage, so why not jump on the bandwagon?

David Bach's latest book is nothing but a play on people's fears about retirement through a collection of common wisdom and pep talks, followed by advice that only SOUNDS practical but is, in fact, built on a lot of assumptions and much easier said than done.

Mr. Bach is right about one thing: there are no small savings. I suggest you begin with one obvious saving: pass up on this book.

This is one of the best books I have ever read about personal finance. Start Late Finish Rich is easy and fun to read and best of all it gave me and my wife practical ideas to help us start getting out of debt and get back on track. David Bach is one of the most motivating writers we have ever come across so thank you David for giving us renewed hope! We have already figured out our Latte Factor (Bingo! and junk food!) and we have a financial plan that makes sense for the first time in our lives. We recommend this book to anyone who feels like they are starting late and don't know what to do next. Take a few hours to read this book and you will be ready to make some important changes in your life!

The money guru to my rescue--AGAIN Rating

What can I say? Thank goodness for David Bach. I can truly say that he has been a godsend to my financial woes. Smart Women, Finish Rich was a superb book and helped me get my finances in check. Now, Start Late, Finish Rich is a book that both my husband and I are reading religiously. Bach definitely knows how to simplify money for those who seem to be "clueless" (as my twenty-something daughter would say). I feel I am indebted to Bach!
