The Principles Always Work
If You Work the Principles

Get ready to transform yourself for success. Jack Canfield, cocreator of the phenomenal bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul® series, turns to the principles he's studied, taught, and lived for more than 30 years in this practical and inspiring guide that will help any aspiring person get from where they are to where they want to be.

The Success Principles™ will teach you how to increase your confidence, tackle daily challenges, live with passion and purpose, and realize all your ambitions. Not merely a collection of good ideas, this book spells out the 64 timeless principles used by successful men and women throughout history. And the fundamentals are the same for all people and all professions -- even if you're currently unemployed. It doesn't matter if your goals are to be the top salesperson in your company, become a leading architect, score straight A's in school, lose weight, buy your dream home, or make millions of dollars–the principles and strategies are the same.

From learning these basics, you can then tackle the important inner work needed to transform yourself. After this inner work, you can turn to building a "success team" and the important ways of transforming your relationships for lasting success. Finally, because success always includes a financial dimension, you can learn to develop a positive money consciousness along with the habits that will ensure that you have enough to live the lifestyle you want, while keeping the importance of tithing and service central to your financial practice. Taken together and practiced every day, these principles will transform your life beyond your wildest dreams!

Filled with memorable and inspiring stories of CEO's, world-class athletes, celebrities, and everyday people, The Success Principles™ will give you the courage and the heart to start living the principles of success today. Go for it!

Don't waste your money on the ebook. The download didn't work. Amazon said to try again--no luck. The author said sorry, but did not send the PDF. I buy many ebooks online and have never had a problem before.

A great book when you are ready to work it Rating

Jack Canfield has put together as many insights as you could possibly need to make positive changes in your life right now. This book (like Stephen Covey's "7 Habits" and Anthony Robin's "Personal Power") is a tool that anyone can use to make tremendous positive change in their life. If you are ready and interested - buy it - read it - and do it! It is that simple if not that easy. Like any tool you have to use it, just reading it is not all that helpful. I do have one minor critisism. The book's emphasis on change and goals could lead one to believe that satisfaction is always "in the future" and dependent on the next achievement. Though it is in the book, the importance being in the moment and finding peace on the inside is easily lost. Then again the subtitle makes it clear that is for people that have decided that that are looking to make some changes. So go ahead and do it!

Ok..who am I to argue with a guy who has sold a gazzilion books and is amazingly successful...while I sit in a cube with headphones on wishing I were doing something else...anyway.

I agree with this book whole heartedly. In fact, I have implemented some of the strategies from the book and have noticed significant changes in my life. I have a project that I've been working on for three years. It could potential help steer me in the direction I want my life to go as well as make a few extra dollars. By reading just the first few chapters, the wheels are in motions and this project may actually happen!

So why did I give it only three stars? It is too much and he gives no strategy regarding how to use all of them. For instance, I want to start my own business. OK, Take 100% responsibility. Check. Now what? Are these steps sequential? Parallel? Do I use certain principles in certain situations but not in others?

I realize that these principles must be adopted and lived out, not just used to get what I want. But, for someone just starting to use these principles, a plan of action would be great.

One last warning. I agree with Stephen Covey. Before implementing these tips, one must know oneself and have a firm grasp of their values and principles. They must understand what matters most in their life. Once that is figured out then these success principles will come in handy.

Jack Canfield seems to have tapped into the keys to both happiness and success and has shared them in an interesting and easy to read book. Whether success means a new house for you or a giving a million dollars to your local church, The Success Principles helps you to figure out what will make you happy and gives you the tools to get there.

I can not recommend the book enough!

Success and Well-being Take Time and Effort Rating
February 28, 2005 Rating: 5.0 stars

"Attitude is Everything" says Keith Harrell in his book. Jack Canfield elaborates about that throughout the pages of his book as he lays out his 64 Success Principles. Learn the basics of success -- "reject rejection"; think positively; overcome your self-defeating beliefs, fears and habits; don't settle for second best; set your goals, and find someone who can help you achieve these goals; etc, etc.

Anyone who is serious about getting ahead in his life needs to get this book and keep it among other MUST HAVES such as, for example, "Can We Live 150 Years?" by Mr. Tombak. See some excerpts from this book + sume free ebooks at www.starthealthylife.com . Dr. Tombak is a completely different "species" - he focuses on one's physical and mental health, longevity, and general well-being. Keep both volumes and treat them as your bibles for success and well-being.
