Qualitative Analysis
Securities analysis that looks at a corporation's management experience, employee morale and the status of labour relations instead of the corporation's financial data.
Quant
A person with numerical and computer skills who carries out quantitative analyses of companies. More generally, a securities analyst.
Quantitative Analysis
The process of evaluating a security by examining its numerical, measurable characteristics such as revenues, earnings, margins, and market share. In other words - complex regression and other analysis based on the hypothesis that all information about a company is represented in its price.
Quantitative Research
Use of advanced econometric and mathematical valuation models to identify the firms with the best possible prospectives.
Quick Asset
Current assets that can be converted to cash quickly and easily. Quick assets are current assets less inventory.
